To Russia with compressors

GE Oil & Gas announced that it will supply UEC-Gas Turbines JSC with three compressor trains equipped with its HPRC units, which include gearboxes and dry gas seal consoles.
The three trains are designated as part of the reinjection in the BCS Srednebotuobinskoe oil field in East Siberia, Russia. GE Oil & Gas will manufacture the compressor in Florence, Italy, with the three trains expected for delivery by December 2016.
GE’s HPRC unit is billed as the company’s smallest and lightest compressor. It requires fewer units per train, which reduces its footprint up to 50% and has a 30% lighter shipping weight than comparable models.
